Course Duration

Eighteen hours in total, spread over one evening per week for six weeks ( i.e. three hours each evening � Wednesdays 6 pm � 9 pm). Courses start in November and February.

Course Description

This programme is designed for those working in all food businesses at a supervisory or team leader level of responsibility. It would also be useful for those who have a responsibility for: -
* Quality Assurance
* Job instruction/training
* Buying of raw materials
* Sales
* Anyone who would wish to extend their knowledge above the Basic Certificate.

How is the Qualification Achieved ?

By examination: a 60 multi-choice question paper lasting 2 hours.

On Successful Completion of this Course

Candidates will be able to: -
* Play an active part in monitoring food hygiene standards.
* Be involved in training activities, especially on-the-job training.
* Be equipped to effectively supervise food handlers on hygiene issues.
* Carry out hygiene audits.
* Encourage good standards of personal hygiene.
* Be able to assist in hazard analysis.
