Course Description
This is a course that will prepare you for a supervisory/management role in the beauty industry. The subjects that you study will include:
Scientific principles
Nutrition
Dermatology and microbiology
Human anatomy and physiology
Facial and body treatments
Waxing
Manicure and pedicure
Marketing
Spa treatments
Aromatherapy
Electrical epilation
There will be opportunities for work placements in the local area and the course also features several educational ships.
How is the Qualification Achieved ?
There will be continual assessment throughout the course on practical and written work, with opportunities for work placements and working in the college salons.
On Successful Completion of this Course
Progression to an HND or Foundation Degree in Beauty or Complementary Therapies. Also a full range of wide and varied careers within the beauty therapy industry eg salons, health spas and cruise ships.
