There are no specific entry requirements. Courses are run at regular intervals during the year.

The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders is a nationally recognised qualification designed for anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol in licensed premises including:

� Pubs
� Bars
� Hotels
� Restaurants
� Off-licences
� Supermarkets
� Convenience Stores
� Sports and Social Clubs
� Entertainment Establishment
� Nightclubs
� Leisure park
� Casinos
� Any other venue or site where alcohol is sold

Course Duration

One day plus a multiple choice examination.

The syllabus for the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders had been designed to be completed in a day. Then you will need to pass a short multiple-choice exam. There are forty questions in the examination and you have forty minutes to do them in. In section one of the examination you have to get eight questions correct out of eight. In section two you have to get twenty two questions correct out of thirty two. A comprehensive handbook, presented in an easy-to-follow format, supports the qualification and covers all the information needed for the examination. If students are unable to attend the full day at college, we can offer you a self-study option where you just attend to complete the examination.

The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders is a nationally recognised qualification designed for anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol in licensed premises. BIIAB’s new qualification, the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, is both QCA accredited and Government approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.

How is the Qualification Achieved ?

You will need to pass a short examination which is multiple-choice.

On Successful Completion of this Course

� The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders is part of an established career ladder in the licensed retail sector
� BIIAB is part of the BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, which has the fastest growing professional membership of almost 17,000 individuals
� Successful completion of this qualification entitles you to apply to join the BII.

Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol will have to hold a personal licence. In order to qualify for a personal licence, an applicant must hold a licensing qualification which is:

� Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) accredited, and
� Government approved.

BIIAB�s new qualification, the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, is both QCA accredited and Government approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.

When you sit your multiple choice examination, you will need to bring proof of your identity, preferably a passport.
